Harry Brown

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

Longtime Nevada Unit member, Harry Brown, passed away on May 16, 2009 at age 97. Harry has been a WBCCI member for 47 years and travelled extensively throughout North America. Harry was a master carpenter, a Navy Seabee, and a Lieutenant in the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse. He had a wide variety of interests and demonstrated his skills by restoring an award winning 1932 Ford Model A and by building many beautifull woodworking projects. His latest was a grandfather clock which he built last year at age 96! Harry and Dorothy were gracious hosts to Airstreamers passing near their home in Twin Falls. We will miss Harry and the wonderful stories he shared about his long life.

Internment will be at 10:40 AM Thursday, May 28 at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either First Choice Hospice, 147 Main Ave. E., Twin Fallls, ID 83301 or the Eastside Baptist Church (Pastor Paul Thompson), 204 Eastland Drive N., Twin Falls, ID 83301

Dottie Tillinghast

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

More sad news for the Nevada unit. Dottie Tillinghast died this morning after being hospitalized.

Art and Dottie have been WBCCI members for many years and have attended many rallies and caravans. They were regular attendees of the WBCCI International and have made friends all over the US because of their involvement in the club. Lately, Dottie has been doing a wonderful job of installing our club officers and initiating our new members. No one else could administer the ceremony in such a professional and personal way.  Our meetings and rallies just won’t be the same without her. Art - our condolences to you.

A memorial service will be held at Boulder Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM on April 29.
